L’α-amanitine est un peptide toxique produit par certaines amanites, l’une des principales amatoxines^[2]^,^[3].

L’α-amanitine est utilisée en biologie cellulaire (notamment en pharmacologie) pour inhiber la transcription de l’ADN par l’ARN polymérase.
