Algernon Henry Blackwood, CBE (14 mars 1869 – 10 décembre 1951) est un écrivain et journaliste britannique.

Biographie

Algernon Blackwood est né à Shooter's Hill (sud-est de Londres). Blackwood exerça différents métiers : fermier au Canada, gérant d'hôtel, journaliste à New York. Vers la fin de la trentaine, il revint en Angleterre et débuta une carrière d'écrivain fantastique. Son œuvre fut une source d'inspiration importante pour le mouvement gothique.
